AT&T has just announced that they are doing away with the $29.99/month unlimited data plan for the iPad, after just two months. This change is effective June 7.
IMPORTANT: If you already have the unlimited data plan for your iPad, you can keep it. You do not have to change to the new plan.
The new plan is $25/month for 2GB of data. If you purchase an iPad on June 7 or later, you will not have the option to purchase the unlimited data plan. So, if you want a 3G iPad, and you want unlimited data, now is the time to buy!
The $15/month for 250MB plan remains unchanged.

I cant wait for Apple to offer the iphone and ipad through other providers. Att is being extremely greedy. They get enough money from thier customers already. I hope they fold.

You mean 250MB for $15/month. Certainly not 25MB.
Actually, it’s being changed as well. Changed to 200 MB instead of 250.

I know the price of the 3G ipad is $629. But what is the cost of the wireless plan if you only want to buy it for one month while on vacation?

$15 for 200MB or $25 for 2GB. No contract required. You activate right from the iPad.
