AT&T has just announced that they are doing away with the $29.99/month unlimited data plan for the iPad, after just two months. This change is effective June 7.
IMPORTANT: If you already have the unlimited data plan for your iPad, you can keep it. You do not have to change to the new plan.
The new plan is $25/month for 2GB of data. If you purchase an iPad on June 7 or later, you will not have the option to purchase the unlimited data plan. So, if you want a 3G iPad, and you want unlimited data, now is the time to buy!
The $15/month for 250MB plan remains unchanged.

All PeachMac stores just received a large shipment of WiFi iPads this morning, so all sizes of the WiFi model are now in stock.
3G iPads in all sizes are en route from China and are expected in the middle of next week. This is a large shipment but we expect them to go quickly. Please be sure to get your orders in so that we can reserve a 3G iPad for you.

PeachMac stores in Athens and Augusta will be closed Monday, May 31 in observance of Memorial Day. PeachMac in Macon will be open normal hours 10 am to 9 pm.

Yesterday, Apple announced an update to the venerable White MacBook. Changes include a faster 2.4GHz processor and a new, faster graphics processor. All PeachMac stores already have the new MacBook in stock.

Just a quick update on iPad stock. WiFi iPads are generally available in all PeachMac stores although there are still some spot outages. Please call the store for up-to-the-minute updates.
Unfortunately there are no 3G iPads available here, or anywhere else. The demand seems to far outstrip supply and with Apple preparing the international launch of the iPad, things seem to be getting tighter. We do not even have an estimate at this time as to when more will arrive. We have thousands on order and hope to see some soon.
A check around shows that Apple company stores have no stock and Apple online is currently stating about 3 weeks for delivery.
